Lots of man-children running around lately…
We present ALEX AND ROBBY AND ABBY
Synopsis: A lonely man-child named Robert discovers the love of his life at his apartment dumpster and his concerned brother Alex isn’t thrilled to see who it is.
Director: Alex Creasy
Laugh Track: How much time and energy did you spend making the movie?
Alex: I wrote it a two years ago with when my roommate discovered a pair of mannequin legs at our apartment. also, it was around my first year in denver when i was really lonely and the legs were the closest thing to a real person in the house. Around april, I rewrote it for Nathan Lund to play me. We were supposed to shoot it in two days and endend up shooting it one night, since it was due the next day. I got my friends nate, roger and Aaron to help Nathan and I shoot it in 4 hours.
Do you think it was worth all that time/energy?
Wish i had more time, we cut allot stuff out and ad-libbed good portion of the script.
No, honestly. Was it?
It was fun, first time I got to hang with my comedy friends outside of open-mics and shows
What’s the funniest thing that happened on set? And by funniest we mean the most horrible thing.
When Nathan tackles me to the couch all lubed up (we used grape seed oil because I was worried actual Ky Jelly would make him to hot) my roommates walked in, i forgot to tell them we were shooting in the apartment. i had an oily Nathan Lund on top of me while I apologized to my friends about the mess
Convince us why your film should win our top award. Best answer wins the award (joking…or are we?)
I managed to get a grown man to strip down to his underwear, oil himself up, and make sweet love to a pair of mannequin legs.
