Try not to ruin your marriage before it starts.
We’re proud to present KITCHEN SINK DRAMA
Synopsis: Aaron is going to propose to Stacey but in doing so discovers that by playing a joke beforehand he may have ruined the entire relationship.
Director: Nicholas Clifford
Laugh Track: How much time and energy did you spend making the movie?
Nicholas:
The screenplay was written in a couple of days.
The screenplay was written in a couple of days.
Filmed it in one day, multicam — Like a boss.
Cut it in two days that felt like nine days.
Cut it in two days that felt like nine days.
Do you think it was worth all that time/energy?
Yeah. Great crew and actors. Was fun times. Everyone was really giving and supportive. We all bonded in a quite a profound way… When you go through something like that, it changes you. Forever.
No, honestly. Was it?
It was hell. People tried to quit every nine minutes but were only met with motivational speeches ripped straight out of sports films (seen Every Given Sunday? ONE INCH AT A TIME! Pacino. Love it.) and like troopers we pushed on, working each scene like a master craftsman would a fine piece of timber on his lathe. Only difference is where a master craftsman would make a rad chair or something useful, I forged Kitchen Sink Drama.
What’s the funniest thing that happened on set? And by funniest we mean the most horrible thing.
Nothing really horrible happened… Except my directing! Boom tish <insert canned laughter here>
Convince us why your film should win our top award. Best answer wins the award (joking…or are we?)
My film should win, just because.
