Hey dino lovers! It’s IAN DOUGLAS TERRY!
is a “weird shaped dude who wears sleeveless shirts and shouts things at people”… and that is the essence of his comedy. He is fond of eating in the bath tub and reading books about dragons. Ian has opened for Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Brody Stevens, Tig Notaro, Howard Kremer, and Neil Hamburger. None of these people disliked him outwardly.
Laugh Track: How long have you been a stand-up comic?
I have been a comedy attempter for almost four years now, at first I was more interested in video based sketch comedy but finally fell in love with stand-up.
What other comics will you be watching during the festival?
I’m already a fan of Ben Roy, Adam Cayton-Holland, Andrew Orvedahl, Sam Tallent, and Chris Charpentier…and of course my partner in OK Party, Zach Peterson. I’m going to try and watch everyone though, good times.
If you could give yourself advice when you first started out, what would it be?
Do more sets with Tim Kasher. Babes loved that.
If your future self ten years from now could give you advice, what would it be?
Don’t eat the bacon cheeseburger pizza that you ate on Friday July 13th 2012. It set off a chain of events that led to you being shot in a Target parking lot by the cops.
Scientology inspired questions. Feel free to go into detail if you need to. Here we go…

Yes…I mean no. No!
b) Do you connect yourself with bad influences?
b) Do you connect yourself with bad influences?

c) Should you be punished forever?
c) Should you be punished forever?
Only by The Punisher and his everlasting quest for punishing.
d) Have you ever invented perverted sexual practices?
d) Have you ever invented perverted sexual practices?
Give me enough Rumple Minze and I will re-do the Kama Sutra with positions based on 80’s pro wrestling.
e) Is there a past life that you can’t talk about?
e) Is there a past life that you can’t talk about?
I used to be really in to hockey…then I discovered punk rock and played that for ten years. Does playing bass in a pop-punk band count as a past life?
