Nate Balding is a Denver based comedian, writer and comic book nerd.
He’s performed on many of Denver’s premier stages including the Grawlix, The Fine Gentleman’s Club Presents Too Much Fun and Arguments and Grievances: The Comedy Debates. He has a monthly sketch show called Badhouse with fellow D Coms (Denver Comics represent ya’ll) Roger Norquist, Jordan Doll and Aaron Urist. Laugh Track: How long have you been a stand-up comic?
Nate: Just about three years.
What other comics will you be watching during the festival?
Pretty much all of them, probably.
If you could give yourself advice when you first started out, what would it be?
Buy a car so you can feature for basically everybody.
If your future self ten years from now could give you advice, what would it be?
Hopefully the plans for the advice time machine.

a) Do you lie about yourself?
No, I create a reality that feels like the one I should be living in.
b) Do you connect yourself with bad influences?
Do astronauts who’ve gone insane after having stared into the void count as bad influences? Then yes.
c) Should you be punished forever?
Only if the punishment is tacos and I’m being punished for not eating enough tacos (there’s no way I haven’t eaten enough tacos).
d) Have you ever invented perverted sexual practices?
I thought I did but recently learned that it’s been around for a long time, it’s called noodling and, while not strictly what I’m doing, isn’t considered either sexual or perverted.
e) Is there a past life that you can’t talk about?
I was Mata Hari’s vagina. I have a lot of weird dreams about it to this day.
