Synopsis: A lonely man-child named Robert discovers the love of his life at his apartment dumpster and his concerned brother Alex isn’t thrilled to see who it is.

Laugh Track: How much time and energy did you spend making the movie?

Alex: I wrote it a two years ago with when my roommate discovered a pair of mannequin legs at our apartment. also, it was around my first year in denver when i was really lonely and the legs were the closest thing to a real person in the house. Chris Charpentier likes the lighter side of life, mostly because he is small and he has to ask for help with heavy stuff and that’s embarrassing.  Chris has quickly made a name for himself in the Denver comedy scene and helps run the weekly stand up showcase Too Much Fun! with his comedy cohorts, The Fine Gentleman’s Club.  He is as funny as he is nice and he is nice all day long.  Also, Chris wrote this.

Meet ED GALVEZ!

Ed Galvez is a Los Angeles based comedian who does stand up, sketch and Improv all over the country. Writer for Hahajk.com & . He also writes and hosts a sketch podcast called The Fort (). He has been seen on The History Channel’s: The History of the Joke, MTV’s Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, a bunch of national commercials and has a vlog called “Stop Working Watch This”.

Laugh Track: How long have you been a stand-up comic?

Ed: I started in improv & sketch in 2000 then in 2002 I branched out into stand up!

What other comics will you be watching during the festival?

Alex Mesrobian, Matt Monroe, Mo Welch & Andrew Orverdahl

If you could give yourself advice when you first started out, what would it be?

Don’t do bringer shows. Write everyday! Don’t beat yourself up.

Stand-up spotlight: Steven Farmer

Austin invades Denver! Meet STEVEN FARMER.

My name is Steven Farmer and I’m a comedian based in Austin Texas after finally escaping Arkansas. I’ve been doing this here stand up comedy for 2 years and in that time have been a finalist in Funniest Person in South Texas Contest, Semi-Finalist in the Funniest Person in Austin Contest, and performed in the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival. I also wrote, directed, and starred in a feature film called ‘Late Bloomer’ that has recently been sold to Echelon Studios. That’s enough self-hype for now, just come watch me perform.

Steven: 2 years

What other comics will you be watching during the festival?

Ashley Barnhill definitely. She’s been really exploding in the scene and is killing it on twitter.

Stand-up spotlight: Mo Welch

Meet MO WELCH!

Mo Welch comes from a historic family of thieves. Her family is rumored to have started the whole “World is ending in 2012″ philosophy. The Chicagoist called her “effervescent and possibly insane” although Welch believes this was a typo and was supposed to say “Homecoming Queen”. Welch’s mom has a brand new red Chevy Malibu and her bio was written by R.L. Stine.

How long have you been a stand-up comic?

I’ve been doing the comedies for almost 5 years, that’s with improv too, but please call me a performance artist (She whips her scarf to her back and walks out with her head up high).

This year we’re excited to host the WORLD PREMIERE of FIRST CONTACT!

Synopsis: When humankind sends a message into the farthest reaches of space it falls on a lowly alien courier to deliver the reply. Unfortunately the courier sent to make first contact with humanity pays less mind to the job in hand than he does to his nagging ex-wife and failed music career.

Sami: I don’t want to think of the number of hours I put in to it.  I just don’t.  A lot I’ll bet.  A very lot.

Stand-up spotlight: Ian Douglas Terry

Hey dino lovers!  It’s IAN DOUGLAS TERRY!
is a “weird shaped dude who wears sleeveless shirts and shouts things at people”… and that is the essence of his comedy.  He is fond of eating in the bath tub and reading books about dragons. Ian has opened for Doug Benson, Kyle Kinane, Brody Stevens, Tig Notaro, Howard Kremer, and Neil Hamburger. None of these people disliked him outwardly.
Laugh Track: How long have you been a stand-up comic?
I have been a comedy attempter for almost four years now, at first I was more interested in video based sketch comedy but finally fell in love with stand-up.
What other comics will you be watching during the festival?
I’m already a fan of Ben Roy, Adam Cayton-Holland,  Andrew Orvedahl, Sam Tallent, and Chris Charpentier…and of course my partner in OK Party, Zach Peterson.  I’m going to try and watch everyone though, good times.
If you could give yourself advice when you first started out, what would it be?

Synopsis: As a man and woman go through the time-honored tradition of the magazine quiz, the man does quite well until he is forced to answer honestly about the Zombie Apocalypse.  A relationship will be tested by its greatest, historic enemy:  The truth.

Daryl: The filming took one day, and the post-production took a couple of weeks.

Stand-up spotlight: Jay Washington

All the way from the Windy City…everybody meet JAY WASHINGTON!

Jay is a professional wrestler turned Stand -up Comedian. Jay’s antics during wrestling promo’s and in-ring interviews made it natural for him to make the transition from the squared circle to the stage. Jay has worked his craft and entered a variety of local and national competitions performed in various comedy festivals and worked in a variety of comedy clubs around the country. Jay’s quick wit, high energy, lovable personality and size make him not only impressionable but also very memorable. He also co-host a weekly radio show Educated Insanity.

Laugh Track: How long have you been a stand-up comic?

Jay: It will be 3yrs for me in August, I haven’t been doing this long at all

What other comics will you be watching during the festival?

Mainly the Denver comics I like the scene they have its unique and a fresh perspective

If you could give yourself advice when you first started out, what would it be?
